About The Event

Directed by Santiago Echeverry (2018, 9 Mins, USA) California Premiere

Documentary, Art/Experimental

Scandals Saloon is a Country/Western Gay bar in Wilton Manors, FL, the city with the second highest LGBT+ population in the USA. Every Monday night they host a Drag Queen show called 'Stilettos' on the main dance floor, at the same time as a Cigar Smokers Social in the patio. 'Monday Night Scandals' seeks to document the indoor and outdoor atmospheres of this location, portraying diverse and colorful characters that see this bar as the perfect way to kick the Monday blues away, drinking cocktails, talking to the bartenders, interacting with the performers, and smoking cigars. Scandals is scheduled to move to a new location in 2018, with no set date, and the memories of this location hopefully will carry on to the new venue. Starring Bubba, Bill Vanderhoof, Candy Cox, Mitzi Ross, Patrick Drake, and the usual Monday Night suspects. This video is part of the Cabaret series of animations and prints portraying LGBT+ communities around the world, using a 3D scanner, the Kinect, instead of a traditional camera. Coded and produced by the author in Processing 3.0, edited using After Effects and Premiere.

About The Event

Ted Geoghegan 2017, USA, 91 mins

The War of 1812 has revived violent hostilities between the British and their erstwhile American colonial subjects. The powerful Mohawk nation of the New York region is divided as to whom they should stand by, and so they maintain a position of neutrality. They want no part in the killing – but the killing is coming to them. An impulsive attack on an American encampment has drawn the vengeful attentions of a ragged band of American military renegades, led by the vicious, racist Hezekiah Holt. Oak, Calvin, and their British lover Joshua flee into the woods so familiar to them, but the murderous musketeers on their trail will not be deterred. Not without the spilling of blood.
