Joe Wakefield: originally from Dearborn MI, moved to Los Angeles in 2012. He works in many parts of the industry both on and off-screen, but is primarily a screenwriter. Joe studied film & screen-writing at various schools throughout his education including Columbia College Chicago and The Los Angeles Film School. He currently resides in Hollywood California.
“Snipoless is a film that tries to capture the essence of my childhood. Putting together unwatchable HomeMovies into a captivating and emotional montage was how it started out. But it soon became so much more. Two out of the four J-boy, The people that the Film focuses on, are deceased. Creating this film helped me deal with certain emotions that I was previously unaware that I was ignoring. I chose not to include the fact that a lot of the kids portrayed are dead because I didn’t want the focus of the film to be about that. Rather I wanted to show strong friendships that hopefully others will be lucky enough to experience in there lives as well. Your friends are the family you choose.”
