Stopping by the Warped Dimension this week is the filmmakers of the award winning web series, "Sirius Lee: The Problematic Time Transplant". A time travel comic journey about an electro funk rapper, scientist, and time traveler from 1980 transported to 2020, FILMED in WEST OAKLAND!
Benji is joined by the one and only Theo Hollingsworth---the creator, producer, and star of Sirius Lee and the director Fox Naki. A lot discussion of the pop culture jokes, questions, and sense of place Theo and Fox bring to the Sirius Lee world. Additional to Theo's love for Back to the Future and his dream to remake his own version "Black to the Future"---Benji tries to be serious at times about what has happened to Oakland. Yet Theo, Fox, and Benji's love for The Last Dragon and The Mack brings it all together.
Plus how luck of time was on their production side with filming wrapped right before the shut down Covid-19 pandemic 2020.
