In the near future, an atomic disaster has reduced the world to poverty, and America is run by an organization called the Merchants, who exploit what remains of society. They force a former government scientist to create a new and deadly parasitic lifeform, intending to weaponize it. Recognizing the catastrophic potential of his creation, he goes on the run with all of his research--including the parasite--to try and find a cure. Demi Moore appears in her first leading role, with Cherie Currie (best known for her music with The Runaways) in a supporting role.
