This footage is the documentation of the horrifying possession of a young woman, her husband's battle against the paranormal, and the unstoppable destruction of their lives. We have acquired the footage, and now can present to you a transfer of this 8mm footage, the rich grain and abnormalities left intact. 1974: La posesión de Altair is an unforgiving document of the most terrifying event in Mexican history, and the scariest movie you’ll see at this year’s Another Hole In The Head.

Below was written by Peter White of DEADLINE

‘Twilight Saga’s Jackson Rathbone Goes Dark As VR-Obsessed Serial Killer In ‘Do Not Reply’

Twilight Saga star Jackson Rathbone’s horror film Do Not Reply is heading to Cannes and sales agent VMI Worldwide has debuted the first trailer for the film.

The gruesome serial killer thriller stars Rathbone as a VR-obsessed killer and is a cautionary tale of the evils of social media. It is directed by Walt Woltosz and Daniel Woltosz.

VMI Worldwide is launching the film, which is produced by Iron Compass Entertainment, at Cannes next week.

Also featuring Degrassi: Next Class’s Amanda Arcuri, it explores the dangers of popular phone apps among teens and the frightening pervasiveness of sexual predators in modern society. Arcuri plays Chelsea, a high school introvert, who is abducted through a social media app by a charming and handsome man who calls himself Brad, played by Rathbone. Chelsea is forced to look like other girls Brad holds captive in his boarded-up house. The high-schooler desperately attempts to persuade them to escape before they all become victims of his ritualistic virtual-reality-filmed murders.

“This is the most terrifying, real-world villain I’ve seen scripted, and possibly the most dangerous character I’ve played. Getting a chance to tell a cautionary tale of the modern age was a pleasure, even if I had to go home every night and shower away the darkness of this character,” said Rathbone

The cast also includes Courtney Henggeler (The Big Bang Theory), Thom Gossom Jr. (Love Is), and Kerri Medders (Alexa & Katie).

‘To Your Last Death’ Review: Dir. Jason Axinn [Frightfest 2019]

To Your Last Death is one of the more distinctive films screening at this year’s Frightfest, for two reasons. Firstly, it’s the only animation screening at the festival. Secondly, it features one of the starriest casts with Ray Wise, Bill Moseley, Morena Baccarin and none other than William Shatner lending their vocals to the piece. It’s an impressive range of people considering the film is a small indie feature.

The film itself is a tale of greed, mistrust, and murder within the Dekalb family, all narrated by the velvet vocal chords of Shatner. Cyrus Dekalb is a titan of industry who has become estranged from his family. Knowing he needs to announce a successor, he summons his four children to his multi-story complex. That’s not all Cyrus has planned, however, as he sets a murderous plan into action. One of his children, Miriam (Dani Lenon) escapes and encounters a strange woman (Morena Baccarin) who offers to send Miriam back in time to try and change the outcome. Can Miriam convince her estranged siblings of their father’s nefarious plans, or will history repeat itself?
